Note: If you are going to have a sturdy and usable mount installation no matter what mount you use you will be running a slight risk and possibility of maring the surface of your dash board. Vent Mounts usually break the vent, cigarette lighter mounts usually rub on the dash somewhere, vehicle specified mounts usually rub the dash vinyl and leave a mark. Bottom line is, this slight maring or discoloration almost never lowers the value of the vehicle. Our "Universal Dash Mount" comes with hole plugs should you decide to remove the mount when disposing of the vehicle.

Step 1

    The "Universal Dash Mount" requires a 1 inch diameter flat area somewhere on the dash or console that has an area of 1.5 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep behind the dash with no wires, mechanical devices or electronics. You will likely find a dozen or more area like this in the average vehicle. Be sure to check behind the dash or console where you decide the mount will work  the best. Drill a 3/8" diameter hole in the middle of the 1 inch diameter area you will be attaching the mount.

Step 2

Squeeze the toggle wings shut and insert them through the hole until you feel them flip apart.

Step 3

Pull gently on the ball cup and tighten the screw down.
  NOTE : DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREW

Step 4

Assemble the rest of the mount according to instructions provided with the mount and adjust to your desire and tighten down T-knobs.
